The best way to start your cannabis journey is by making informed purchases. Always purchase cannabis products from licensed retailers who meet all regulatory standards (like Carry-On). This ensures you get safe and effective products. Before you make a purchase, take your time to read product labels and understand what you’re buying, from THC levels to potential health impacts.

When Not to Consume Cannabis

Not every situation is suitable for cannabis consumption. Avoid cannabis:

  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or responsible for the care of children.
  • When operating heavy machinery or engaging in activities that require sharp mental focus.
  • If you need to drive or operate a vehicle within several hours of consumption.

Consumption Tips

Smoking or Vaping

If you choose to smoke or vape, start with small puffs and see how you feel after a few minutes. It’s easy to overdo it, so take it slow, especially if you’re a beginner or trying a new product.

Edibles

Edibles take longer to kick in, usually around 30 to 60 minutes, with effects that can last much longer than smoking or vaping. Start with a low dose (we suggest 2.5mg), especially if you’re new to edibles, and wait at least two hours before considering more.

Topicals

Cannabis-infused topicals can be applied directly to the skin. They are great for localized relief without psychoactive effects. Apply as needed, and feel free to reapply throughout the day as they do not produce a “high.”

  • Don’t panic. The effects are temporary.
  • Stay hydrated and try to relax. Sometimes, simply lying down in a quiet, comfortable space helps.
  • If you’re dizzy or disoriented, sipping water and fresh air can be incredibly refreshing.
